NEW YORK (WHDH) -- A Boston-bound flight was diverted to New York City because of a computer problem on board.

Delta flight 4143 departed from Virginia just before 2:30 p.m. Friday. Just before 3:30 p.m. the crew declared an emergency because of a problem with the flight instruments.

They chose to divert the plane to JFK Airport in New York City. The passengers will now have to fly from New York to Boston. There is no word on when they might arrive.
