MBTA must pay $1.2M to woman injured in crash

BOSTON (WHDH) -- A jury has ordered the MBTA to pay more than $1 million to a woman who was injured in a 2009 Green Line crash.

The Boston Globe reports the Scituate woman will receive $1.2 million

After suffering a herniated disc and other neck injuries in the rear-end crash.

The operator, Aiden Quinn, admitting to texting at the time of the accident. Quinn was later sentenced to two years probation for negligence.

The accident caused $10 million in damage. Twenty four lawsuits have been filed against the MBTA since the accident.
