2-alarm fire in South Boston
SOUTH BOSTON (WHDH) -- Friday afternoon, the Boston Fire Department responded to, and put out, a 2-alarm fire at 191 K Street in South Boston.
Upon their arrival, fire showed from the roof of a 3-story apartment or condominium building. No injuries were reported.
Extra firefighters were sent in as a precaution because of high temperatures.
The Fire Chief estimated damage at $200,000. The building had 6 condos with 10 people displaced.
Displaced will stay with family and friends. Investigators on roof looking into point of origin and cause.
