Cambridge trooper on the wrong side of the road and law

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WHDH) -- A city trooper was off duty when he allegedly drove the wrong way on Memorial Drive in Cambridge.
Authorities said he was off duty and in a personal vehicle.
In a statement Tuesday, police said they are examining how the incident was handled when other troopers located the off duty trooper next to his vehicle in a nearby parking lot. They also stated that the trooper, Adam Paicos, has been placed on restricted duty for the duration of the investigation.
Paicos had only been a trooper a few months but prior to that he worked as a special police office in his hometown where he did details only.
According to the police chief there, he resigned in January of 2008 citing personal reasons.
