Mass Ave. Bridge reopens after fatal motorcycle crash

BOSTON (WHDH) -- State police said a 20-year-old man was killed in a crash on the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge Monday afternoon.
Police said the deceased man, who was driving a motorcycle, collided with a GMC sport utility vehicle and Ford Ranger pickup truck.
The driver of the motorcycle was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead.
The accident occurred at 2:30 p.m. on the Boston side of the bridge.
“Guy hit the bike, guy went flying, I ran over him,” said John Tavres, who was involved in the crash. “...The truck ended up making contact with the bike. The guy went flying. If I didn’t pull that way more he would have landed through my windshield. I think I ran over his legs.”
The police said the victim was wearing a helmet. His identity has not been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
The bridge reopened Monday evening.
