BOSTON (WHDH) -- One hundred miles and only a few months to prepare -- it sounds like a daunting task to most of us, but 7's Adam Williams has been on a mission to make it happen.

The Best Buddies Challenge is getting closer. Here’s what's to come and how you can help.

Just days away from hitting the road with Team Tom Brady and Founder of Best Buddies International, Anthony Kennedy Shriver tells 7News he's pumped for some cool events this week.

“There’s a football game Friday, full 100-yard field with Tom as the quarterback. Bunch of Patriots come out -- Wes Welker, Julian Edelman, Wilfork’s coming, Gronkowski,” Shriver said.

A handful of Buddies will hit the field at Harvard Stadium Friday night to show the pros how it's done. 7News will be there to support them.

“At 7 a.m. Saturday morning, we start the 100-mile ride down to Hyannisport,” Shriver said.

Adam will be doing that bike ride, and as you know, he’s been raising money for the awesome organization.

Shriver says Best Buddies has huge goals for the money raised this year.

“One of the things Best Buddies is focusing on now is trying to create competitive integrated white-collar jobs for people with intellectual disabilities,” Shriver said.

And as the months of training have turned to weeks and now days, the push is bigger than ever to kindly ask you for your support.
