Travelers face delays at Logan after LAX shooting
BOSTON (WHDH) -- Flights at Logan Airport were delayed Friday after a shooting at Los Angeles International Airport.
Some travelers were inside the Logan Airport terminal when they first heard about the shooting.
“I was in shock, I was in disbelief that that would happen. I’m scared. I heard that the guy is in custody so that makes me feel a little bit better but it’s still scary,” Lisa Garcia said.
For other travelers today’s shooting doesn't come as a surprise.
“If you have to fly you have to fly, it’s just part of flying. You’ve got to take that into consideration. That does make you a little nervous, but it’s just part of flying,” said Paul Bertram who was traveling out of Logan.
Massport recommends that anyone headed west out of Logan airport, or any other regional airport, call their carriers to see if the flight schedule has changed.
