7's Adam Williams gets set for Best Buddies Challenge
BOSTON (WHDH) -- It’s a few months away, and it's time to start getting set to ride for Best Buddies.
7News’ Adam Williams rode last year and had a blast.
The weather wasn't the greatest, but that did not stop Tom Brady or the hundreds of bike riders from pedaling from Boston to Cape Cod.
The goal is to raise money for those living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Organizers, which include the Kennedy family, said it's one weekend that makes a huge difference.
“We all get excited about two days and we all see the billboards and we all get pumped about Tom, but these activities are going on year round and really transforming people’s lives year round and I think that’s the important thing. Yeah, you can have a great time - but really a great time making a huge impact,” said Anthony Shriver of the challenge.
This year is the 14th year of the Best Buddies Challenge. Last year - Adam raised $15,000 - his goal this year is $20,000.
This year, not only is Adam Williams on Team Tom Brady, he is co-captain with Tom Brady.
