BOSTON (WHDH) -- Boston EMS received a call that a man was hit by falling ice on Bromfield Street in downtown Boston Monday afternoon.

Once emergency crews arrived the man didn’t have a head wound, but was in cardiac arrest.

He was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital.

Some witnesses said they didn’t see any ice fall on him. They saw him fall down.

Boston EMS cannot confirm the man was hit with falling ice.

There is falling ice in the area. Signs are in place to warn people of the possibility of falling ice.
