MSPCA-Nevins Farm Pet of the Week: Vince and Special

It’s Adopt a Bird Month at the MSPCA -- and that includes the MSPCA-Nevins Farm birds! Featured this week are Vince, a Salmon Faverole, and his good buddy Special, a Polish rooster. Both of these birds are looking for a forever home -- and they need not go home together!

Vince is a bird of French descent; Faveroles are large, docile and dignified roosters.  Vince has a musical voice that will capture the hearts of any fowl-loving adopter.

Special is a beautiful White Crested Black Polish Rooster.  He has a magnificent crest that is the primary trait of his breed.  Special’s home should be very well protected from predators since Polish roosters have very limited vision.  Staffers at Nevins Farm would love for him to go to a home that may already have a flock, preferably with a few docile hens.  And adopters should know that when his crest feathers are preened and his wattles rubbed, he falls fast asleep!

For more information about Vince or Special you can email the MSPCA-Nevins Farm team directly at methuen@mspca.org. Or to learn more about them and the other animals available for adoption at the MSPCA-Nevins Farm -- click here.

The MSPCA-Nevins Farm Adoption Center is located at 400 Broadway in Methuen, Mass.  Hours of operation are Tuesday and Thursday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
