PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Providence police are investigating a second car accident involving a pedestrian within the past two days.
Police say 19-year-old Stephen Petrick was hit by a Honda Civic shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday while crossing Huxley Avenue near Providence College. He was brought to Rhode Island Hospital. His condition hasn't been released.
Authorities say the driver of the car -- an 18-year-old woman from Cranston -- told them it was raining hard and she couldn't see the pedestrian. Police haven't said whether they will file charges.
Another pedestrian was seriously injured on Saturday morning after being struck by a car on Waverly Street.
