Three Mass. natives make it on to 'The Voice'
BOSTON (WHDH) -- Another Massachusetts contestant is making her “Voice” heard. Caitlin Michele hit a high note and got both Adam Levine and Blake Shelton to turn their chairs around.
Caitlin is now the third Massachusetts native to win a spot on this season of “The Voice.”
Caitlin made her big debut on Monday night's episode -- the last of the blind auditions.
But the Boston native had to overcome more than just the judges; she suffers from extreme panic disorder, which made for a nerve-wracking moment as she took the stage.
The singer had nothing to worry about though -- winning the votes of both Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.
Her final choice for a coach was the Maroon 5 singer himself.
Caitlin will join Sunderland native Michelle Brooks-Thompson, who also made it past the blind auditions last week.
Thompson won the approval of three judges; Levine, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, before choosing Levine to coach her.
Whoever “The Voice” turns out to be, Massachusetts will certainly be heard.
And it's not just the ladies. Caitlin and Michelle will be joining Worcester native Sammy James, who is also on Team Adam.
