Casey Affleck dishes about new film, Massachusetts
UNDATED (WHDH) -- Casey Affleck recently sat down and spoke with 7News’ Kim Khazei about his new film “Out of the Furnace” and reminisced about the Bay State.
He calls Cambridge “the best city in the world,” saying also that he tries to get to Massachusetts whenever he can.
“I come back there every summer. As soon as kids are out of school we usually drive cross-country and spend the summers there with my mom in Cambridge and out in the Cape," said Affleck.
He told Khazei that he had tears in his eyes watching the Red Sox win the World Series.
"I started crying when they won. My kids are like ‘what’s the matter with you'" he said.
The actor is promoting his new film “Out of the Furnace,” where he plays a man who gets caught up owing some gambling debts to the wrong people. It’s up to his brother, played by Christian Bale, to save him.
The movie is out in theaters now.
