Returning for a fourth season, ALL OF US, the series inspired by the domestic adventures of entertainment superstars Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, reflects a new generation's enlightened attitude toward juggling ex-spouses, dating and professional lives with humor, sensitivity and heart.
Robert (Duane Martin, "Deliver Us from Eva") and Neesee James (LisaRaye McCoy, "Beauty Shop") are divorced. But that doesn't mean their complicated and sometimes stormy relationship is over. Not only do they share custody of their 6-year-old son, Bobby Jr. (Khamani Griffin, "Daddy Day Care") but for the last year, they've been sharing a house. Robert let Neesee move back in when her own place was destroyed by fire, and their lives haven't been the same since he even became a not-so-silent partner in Neesee's start-up restaurant. Getting more and more tied up in each other is a hell of a way to have a divorce. Trying to move on with their own lives while under each other's noses makes for a constant challenge, and provides plenty of material for Robert and his co-host/best friend Dirk Black (Tony Rock, "The Chris Rock Show") to talk about on his TV talk show, "Get Real With James and Black."
Dirk, a toxic bachelor himself and veteran of four failed marriages always pushes Robert toward the wild side of things. But very recently, Dirk discovered a side effect of all his wild years when he met his sarcastic 13-year-old daughter, Courtney.
This season, the show will follow Robert and Neesee as their attempts to move on lead them to try an even more complicated living arrangement. And Dirk's life will be turned upside down when the daughter he's just met becomes more of a fixture in his life.
"All of Us" is produced by Overbrook Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jeff Strauss ("Friends"), James Lassiter ("Ali," "Hitch," "I, Robot"), and Arthur Harris ("One on One"). Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith and Betsy Borns are the creators.
